Lori Saczynski grew up on Florida’s Emerald Coast and married her high school sweetheart. Together they built a life and raised five wonderful children over the course of 32 years. While their family appeared happy from the outside, the reality behind closed doors was very different. After years of counseling and personal healing, she came to understand why no amount of trying harder, loving more, or sacrificing herself could repair a relationship with someone who lacked empathy and refused accountability.

When her husband abandoned the family in 2025, Lori found herself starting over at a stage of life when she had expected to be enjoying the empty nest years alongside her spouse. Through that painful season, God faithfully carried her, brought healing and clarity, and began transforming her suffering into a ministry of hope for other women.

Lori has followed the Lord throughout her life. She has led Bible studies since 2000, organized and led retreats for teen girls, and written numerous Bible studies. Today, she is the founder of Proverbs 13:12 Retreats, a faith-based ministry helping women recognize, understand, and heal from the effects of unhealthy and emotionally abusive relationships. The ministry serves women at every stage of the journey — from those still trying to understand what is happening in their marriage to those who are separated, divorcing, or struggling to heal long after the relationship has ended.

Drawing from her personal experience, years of biblical study and ministry, and trauma-informed education, Lori helps women bring understanding to confusion, recognize unhealthy relationship patterns, reconnect with God’s truth, and take meaningful steps toward healing. The Proverbs 13:12 Retreat curriculum and workbook have been professionally reviewed and endorsed by Dr. Mindi Lunday, a licensed psychotherapist specializing in complex trauma.

Above all, Lori wants women to know that God has not forgotten them. Her desire is not to tell women what decisions to make, but to help them understand what they have experienced, find clarity where there has been confusion, and move toward healing with wisdom, truth, and hope. No matter how broken a situation may seem, God is still trustworthy, still redeeming, and still writing their story.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. (Proverbs 13:12)
